I tried to update my maps to 2014.40 to no avail, as I kept getting the 'not compatible' message. Figured maybe the unit needed updated first (it was on 23).So I've successfully updated my unit from 23 to 33. I then tried to install it (2014.40) again with the same failed results. My next thought was then. Baby steps perhaps? I got ahold of 2014.10 and it installed successfully on the first attempt.

Once again I tried 2014.40 to no avail. Any thoughts? I'd like to bring it as current as possible and am unable to find working links for anything in between the.10 and the.40 versions. Thanks in advance. Are you trying to load the full North American map image or just the lower 49 states. The lower 49 was incompatible for me but the full map image loaded fine, also double check you JCV version if loading it that it is compatible with the map img. Well, unfortunately I seem to be having the same issue as did membrain in post #122 on page 5. When I go to do the update I am taken to the Nav Update screen and am then given, almost immediately, the error Dune 1984 The Alternative Edition V2 Subtitles Netflix. 'Map update was not installed successfully. Please retry update procedure or contact your dealer for assistance.'

I have successfully downgraded to v33 w/ the blue buttons, and attempted this with two different FAT32 formatted thumb drives. I have double-checked and verified the file structure, naming conventions and even capitalization. I have tried both the split and full view JCV files. I have only attempted the full North American version of v2014.40. I am unsure if it is due to a corrupt download of the.IMG file, or perhaps a newer version of the RHB hardware (I have a 2013 vehicle). I have upgraded back to v50, and will continue to watch this thread.

Upgrading to the 50.xx is I think for the most part personal preference. I had some wonky Bluetooth issues with my iphone that cleared up with the update. Your picture will not change, it is an update that works through all Chrysler models so no 'files' are changed or lost just the operating system and interface. And as far as having someone send a disk treat it as learning new stuff.
